The Royce

128 RACF Bathrooms were delivered by Interpod for The Royce Aged Care facility in Penrith, a new development constructed by Richard Crookes Constructions.

The Royce aged care development is located at the home ground of Penrith Panthers.

The short lead time presented an immediate challenge for the Interpod team, with additional colour schemes and varing tapware across levels. Manufacturing the bathrooms offsite meant the project deliverables could be achieved by following the strict manufacturing process Interpod had in place.

We worked closely with the Richard Crookes Constructions onsite and project management teams to facilitate a seamless integration into the building. The bathroom pods were designed early in the build which enabled the concrete floor slabs to accommodate a step down for the bathrooms, allowing a flush transition from the bedroom to the bathroom wet areas.

Martin Patience, General Manager Aged Care Richard Crookes, noted “If you can build a product in a factory environment you’ve got a greater chance of getting the quality up to where it needs to be”.

Having wet area trades offsite enabled quality to be managed in a greater way and saved project management focus onsite. Patience also spoke highly of the Interpod bathrooms, “I think the products that was produced by Interpod was really top notch”.
